Firms can use these capabilities to engage customers in collaborative product innovation through a variety of Internet-based mechanisms (Sawhney, Verona & Prandelli 2005). Customer engagement may affect marketing metrics, which subsequently should affect firm value (Lehmann 2004). The evolution of internet technology and the popularity of social media drive the change in ways to communicate and drive the opportunities for customer engagements.
Successful customer engagements may mean a significant economic return for a company! Nowadays, marketers should be familiar with the meaning of “Customer Engagement” and also the tricks for successful customer engagements!
